*New this year!* The Tehama Teacher Induction Program now offers two enrollment periods for candidates. Our traditional enrollment period is closely aligned with most schools' academic calendars when most new teachers start their teaching assignments. Our mid-year enrollment is intended for new teachers who are late hires to their agencies or recently passed their TPAs and/or RICA and need to be connected with a mentor as soon as possible for success in their teaching assignment.

The Tehama County Department of Education is an accredited agency for both Teacher Induction and Career Technical Education (CTE) teacher preparation programs. Both programs are governed by the California Department of Education. The vision of the TTIP is to provide individualized job-embedded support and personalized coaching where candidate and mentor pairs can learn, thrive, and succeed in improving teacher efficacy and ultimately enhancing all students' growth and learning. Our mission is to be RESPONSIVE to the needs of RURAL educators and help them curate RELATIONSHIPS that will serve them throughout their careers.

Tehama Teacher Induction Program is a two-year, individualized, job-embedded system of mentoring, support, and professional learning that begins in the teacher’s first year of teaching. Educator preparation programs are locally designed and implemented in accordance with program standards and are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing to recommend candidates for a Clear Credential.
