Engagement of your education partners is a key part of the story you tell within your LCAP. State Priorities 3, 5, and 6 make up the engagement sections of your LCAP. 
 
The following groups are required to be engaged through collaboration and input and are most effectively completed during the months of March and April of each year.

  • Parent input is received and included in decision making in regards to culture, climate and equity.
  • Parents of unduplicated students will be encouraged to participate in programs.
  • Parents of students with exceptional needs will be encouraged to participate in programs. 
 
  • Student attendance rates are addressed and increased as student well-being and efficacy are addressed.
  • Middle school and High school dropout rates are decreased by addressing the social, emotional, and academic needs of students at-risk of dropping out.
  • High school graduation rates are increased by addressing the social, emotional, and academic needs of students at-risk of not meeting graduation requirements.
 
  • Student suspension and expulsion rates are minimized through programs that address culture, climate, equity and family concerns of students.
  • Students, teachers, and parents feel a positive sense of safety and school connectedness.
 
Possible Metrics
  • 100% of parents will be given opportunities to provide input into district and site decisions.
  • 100% of parents of unduplicated students and students with exceptional needs will be provided with information and opportunities to participate in programs for their students.
 
  • Student attendance rates will increase by 10%.
  • Student drop out rates will decrease by 10%.
  • Student graduation rates will increase by 10%.
 
  • 100% of students, parents, and teachers will express a positive sense of school safety and connectedness to the school.
  • Suspension rates of students will decrease by 10%.
  • Expulsion rates of students will decrease by 10%.
