Family Engineering invites educators, engineers, university science and engineering students, community youth leaders, and parents to inspire the next generation of critical thinkers and problem solvers with exciting, hands-on activities and events for elementary-aged children and adults.
The Family Engineering kits are a valuable resource for providing informal engineering learning experience to elementary age children (ages 7-12) and their families. Developed with support from the National Science Foundation, Family Engineering promotes 21st century skills of inquiry, creativity, teamwork, and collaborative problem solving. the Family Engineering program can be used by any individual or organization to plan and conduct successful community outreach events.
