The Tehama County Department of Education takes part in regular trainings on school safety. Many of these trainings are offered by the US Department of Education's Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools. Information on the trainings offered and how they help school leaders plan for emergencies, including natural disasters, violent incidents and terrorist acts can be found on the US Department of Education's website.
