Our Philosophy

Our philosophy embodies a strong commitment to providing the highest quality program for preschoolers and their families. Our program focuses on each individual child’s developmental progress in cognitive, linguistic, physical, social and emotional growth and well-being.

Our Goals

1. Parents and/or guardians will become effective partners in their child’s development in cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical domains.
2. Our preschool classrooms will provide an enriched environment to be fully articulated to early language and early learning opportunities for the development of the preschool child.
3. The Tehama County Department of Education will provide incentives to recruit and retain early childhood educators in our preschool programs.
4. Tehama County preschool staff will participate in high quality, research-based, participatory professional development.
5. Preschool Programs of Tehama County will employ a preschool director and preschool project secretary to manage facilities, the fiscal expenses, and reporting requirements.
