MAA - Medical Administrative Activities
Federal funding reimburses school employees for the cost of administrative activities that promote access to health care for pre-K-12 students in public schools and coordinate student health care needs with Medi-Cal service providers. Employees of Tehama County Department of Education (Special Education, SERRF, Prevention, Lincoln Street School, Preschool, and School Readiness) are trained and assisted in providing and reporting MAA activities performed during the typical work day as reported in four annual week-long time surveys. Local Education Councils (LECs) in each CCSESA region support the system of training, review and reimbursement through the California Department of Health Services (DHS) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Systems (CMS).
