California Preschool Instructional Networks (CPIN) was initiated during the 2003-2004 school year by the California Department of Education (CDE). At that time, Tehama County Department of Education received the grant to provide professional development to early childhood educators in the nine northeast counties of California. CPIN is organized by the 11 regions designated but the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA). Our project serves Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Trinity, Shasta, Plumas, Lassen, Siskiyou, and Modoc Counties.

Topics include early language and literacy, mathematics, Preschool Learning Foundations, the Desired Results System, school readiness and transition to kindergarten, children with disabilities and English Language Learners.

Our staff brings a great wealth of experience and diversity to our project.

Please feel free to call with any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting your professional development needs.
