Relay For Life

Relay For Life began in Tehama County in June 1998. The Tehama County Department of Education has been involved since the beginning. We start raising money in October and have monthly fundraisers until the event in June. Each of us has been touched by cancer is some way, either personally, or by supporting a friend or family member. We gather each year as a community to support those who are facing cancer and to remember those who have lost their battle. For more information, please contact Jackie Douglas or Linda Houchins.

The Tehama County Community Concert Association provides a wide variety of live entertainment to Red Bluff. In addition to the opportunity to see professionals at a Tehama County venue, there are one to two school outreach programs each year. Entertainers interact with students, sharing experiences and often including them in a community performance.

University of California Cooperative Extension Tehama County

The University of California's 64 Cooperative Extension (UCCE) offices are local problem-solving centers. More than 400 campus-based specialists and county-based farm, home, and youth advisors work as teams to bring the University's research-based information to Californians. UCCE is a full partnership of federal, state, county, and private resources linked in applied research and educational outreach. UCCE tailors its programs to meet local needs.
